I mentioned it in another thread, but I think Nick King is probably the Player of the Year. How close is Caver?

Don't follow all that stuff but I would take CUSA champ instead!

Btw, Caver with 10 assists and zero turnovers wasn't it? Awesome job.

Probably about as close as we are to taking over 1st position from Empty Sue in the conference standings -- i.e., not very.

Caver will be in the discussion, but I don't see him getting that (deserved, in my view) recognition.

He will get first team but doubt he will get POY, sadly. He's our MVP

He isn't flashy enough for POY, but I'll take CUSA tournament MVP instead.

I mean, I'd prefer him to get Tourney MVP over POY, but that's just me.

Would not surprise me in the least if no Monarch makes the first team, including Caver.

Yeah I think Caver will make 2nd team all conference.

I expect King to be POY only because of PPG. IMO, Cokley is the best player in conference and Boykins isn't far behind. Caver has a shot at 1st team, but they will probably give it to Elmore.

My Ballot would be:

1st Team:
Cokley
Porter
King
Boykins
Caver

2nd Team:
Penava
Coleby
Smart
Thompson
Elmore

Honorable Mention:
Walters
BJ Stith
Burks
Jackson
Johnson

I forget about Elmore. I doubt Caver will get first team over him. His ppg and apg are better than Cavers.

Actually, if you look at any of the offensive stats, ODU isn't heavily represented near the top.
