Update before posting: he just hit his first bucket. Now 2 points.
And Mercer up 1 at the half.

Let us hope that holds up. Go Bob!

Mercer had a 14 point lead early on but UNCG hit seven 3's in the first half and was able to make a comeback.

What is this insanity? I'm cheering for both Mercer and Chatt?

No, I don't think so. But now Mercer has won 5 in a row with Cummings playing a lot, they're feeling it, and at this moment in time, they're hard to handle.

Yes they are. And if the current standings hold we are destined to play them or Wofford if we survive the first round. Lots of “ifs” but I would prefer avoiding Mercer in the tournament. They were not picked to finish first for no reason, they are talented.

But would you rather play Furman or Wofford over Mercer?

I just want the regular season championship outright. Goal no. 1. Will worry about the SoCon tourney after next week. Goal no. 2.

We beat Mercer twice, and pretty convincingly. I think the Bucs are fine.

Well, I sorta think so, too, but with Strawberry and Cummings shooting like marksmen (15/24 collectively) - against a darn good outside-D team like today - they are certainly dangerous. I would argue more dangerous than at any time this year.
(And remember Ringer *killed* us in JC.)

Personally......I'd absolutely rather play the Wuffers than Mercer. Not sure about than Furple; maybe a toss-up there - or maybe Mercer because I think we're in Hoffman's head.

Kudos to the singer and band who performed the national anthem prior to the game. As good a rendition as I've ever seen and heard.

Holy cow04-jawdrop

Don’t see the SoCon (in their infinite wisdom) giving Bradford the player of the year over him even if his team finishes 4th or 5th. I personally feel that the POY should come from the top placed team but the home office is in Spartanburg.

Standings, or W/L record, *should* have no influence on POY. It should be exactly that - POY. That said, Bradford does SOOO many things well, he would still get my vote - whether ETSU finished first or last.

*That* said.........45! Whoa....
