If Penny didn't make it happen in three years, he would walk away.

But if he has a packed house, has big time players, and getting big time wins, then I was right yet again.

Penny is the answer and you can get him today and in the same amount of time it takes to expire Tubby's contract you can give Penny the keys for a test drive.

Me and him both. Parish lost his kid a couple years ago and Crean was extremely helpful in helping him move on. Sometimes it transcends sports.

It was TERRIBLE what happened to GP. Only time I've ever had any sympathy for him. But that has zero to do with coaching the Memphis Tigers.

Crean struggled getting Indiana 4- and 5-stars to come to IU. No thanks.

*tries finding where anyone said that* Crean put 5 kids in the NBA at IU. Three 5 stars and six 4 stars though. Not counting Oladipo who was an underrated 3 star. I wouldn't call that struggling.

During his last 4 years, the state put out 16 blue-chip players (4/5 stars). Crean signed ONE of them. Players from Indiana. At IU.

His average recruiting class ranking was #31. At IU.

He signed 17% of blue-chips from the state of Indiana. He NEVER signed the top ranked kid in the state of Indiana. At IU.

Do you call that struggling to get local kids?
