Wow I wasn't aware that the buyout could be spread over 6 years.

Parrish has been talking this idea up for a couple months now. It makes sense, and would get us going in the right direction.

And that savings pales in comparison to bringing back the lost revenue we are experiencing from dismal ticket sales & attendance. We really cannot afford not to do it.

I’m lost and I’m not the smartest when it comes to mathematics but That’s 9.75 over 3 years or 9.75 over 6 years. How do they save money? The 9.75 has to be paid out regardless. Sure you get longer which I guess is good but either way you have the same financial commitment.

Yeah. fuzzy math. The "savings" are realized in the first 3 years. Its definitely not saving money.

For starters, unless Penny is the one who agrees with those numbers in the Penny Salary column, this is crack pipe material.

Don't forget we will be forfeiting the money the Grizzlies owe us because of low attendance if Tubby stays. That is like $600,000. If Penny is the coach I believe the attendance will be high enough to resume getting that money again. And that does not count the extra revenue we would get by more ticket sales and donations.

A lot of assumptions there.

But there is one piece that many forget we still owe Pastner 1 year. So we will be paying 3 coaches next year if we fire Tubby and if Penny doesn't work out we will paying 3 coaches in 3 years.

And speaking of Joshie...I wonder if he lasts 3 years at Tech...Terrible season along with all of the drama from his crazy counterpart.
