EMU baseball vs U-M today at 6 P.M.
Anyone catch the EMU-UM baseball game yesterday on the BTN? I did and it was an exciting game. We had em and let them off the hook, losing 6-4. I was impressed with the performance.
If you are in the area, make it out to Oestrike Stadium today and cheer on the guys. They are playing competitive ball and a win over Michigan would be great for the program and the university.

We had something like 5 or 6 wins in a row over Michigan baseball going until 2014/2015, if I remember correctly. I saw one at Oestrike and one in Ann Arbor, in which we crushed them on their own field. Fun stuff.
Hope we can get that streak going again.

This is a really good Michigan team. A victory would say a lot about the EMU baseball team...I hope people show up and give the team a home field advantage...let's show them that EMU supports it's athletic programs! If it is on BTN again, I want to see a lot of green in the stands.

I got the chance to announce a few of the Michigan Baseball games this year. They are exciting to watch. They’ve got a Freshman who can hit the ball a mile.

They moved it up to a four PM start.

Based on the response here and the attendance of 275, one can only conclude that EMU fans and alumni don't like sports that much.

General comment: I doubt attendance at most MAC or even B1G schools for midweek games is much.
I watched some of the EMU @ TOL game and the crowd was sparse, from what I could see.
I'll get a story about the Tigers' home game vs. Baltimore and the photograph which made it look like there was 275 fans there for the Tigers' game. Doubt there was say 2K fans there.

Baseball is slightly ahead of watching paint dry.

Dammit Bob you might FINALLY have a legitimate point. There was simply no excuse for me to miss the game yet I did. U-M sucked up both games at home last year and of course charged for both admission and parking. To not show up for that game at Oestrike Stadium is my bad and I should apologize. Poor support for EMU athletics on my part.

Some fans were walking up around six and we’re shocked that they had moved the start time up to four the day of the game. One tweet won’t reach everyone who might have attended.

I was a 3 sport athlete--starter in high school (QB-WR-DB, CF, PG), All-League in football and baseball and I can tell you, people who compare baseball to watching paint dry are usually guys who cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. I love all sports but baseball took the most dedication and discipline, it is a beautiful sport. Football is a dying sport. In 20 years a huge segment of the population are not going to let their kids play. It is a deeply flawed sport...basketball is at the other end of the spectrum where every shred of physicality has been removed and is basically a 3-point shooting contest played by skinny, soft kids.

I can not imagine you as an athlete......
To everyone else, I apologize for my comment on baseball. It's a great sport to watch during summertime.
Football will still be King 20 years from now. Basketball will be more evolved with global athletes making it exciting to watch.
