The people in charge need to realize that it's a lot easier to retain fans than to go make new ones. Every year less people are coming to games. Every year it's harder and harder to get them back.

Well, he can't say what he really thinks until he's definitely firing Tubby. He has to stay positive.

Problem is we have locked ourselves into a price range and one more bad hire and we will have to suffer through it till the end of the contract. Which may force our hands and make us go with a proven younger established coach instead of taking a chance on Penny.

If it is time to boot Tubby, then we should try first to make him uncomfortable so he will resign. For example, assuming contract terms allow and does not cause net detrimental effort, Bowen should immediately fire Saul and perhaps Pooh.

How much would it cost to get a billboard near the arena w the commonly used slogan “DrainTheTub” . . . Anyone can come up w the info and want to go half’s with me . . .

As much as I hate the situation we're in now, we need to wait until the end of the season. Firing a coach before a full two years looks worse on the program than it does the coach. And given where we're at now, the season is beyond lost. Start putting feelers out, but wait to fire Tubs until the day after we exit the AAC tournament. Or, go the route that 1983 proposed and try to make it as painful as possible for him (in an effort to get him to quit).

That being said, I anticipate he'll be around next year.

You really think the head of an organization should blast their coaches even before a decision is made to fire them....



I am NOT Saying they are going to fire Tubby, I am saying that Bowen opining over the air that he hopes Tubby somehow turns it around is no proof of anything.
