Question, why weren’t the fans told that well before the season started? We were told by the head coach that we would compete for the league championship and we would be one of the highest scoring teams in the league. These statements are the exact opposite of “rebuild” mode.

We aren’t in “rebuild” mode. We lose almost the entire team next year. Rebuilding requires stocking young talent and taking your lumps.

They say that every game ... It's how they write us off !!

They know these are not the Memphis teams they are used to seeing. We’ll be back, and they know it.

Tubby just hanging around doing and saying the least possible to get his millions. Plain and simple.

We have been in dismantling mode for 2 years. If Tubby gets another season (which I'm 90% sure he won't), the program will be completely burnt to the ground.

Suppose you are, in reality, past your prime in your job. You got a good gig, making lots of money, but you know it's just a matter of time before your boss figures it out and decides you need to go.

You going to do the "honorable" thing and say you are going to resign for the "good of the company", or are you going to try to stay under the radar and out of the deep water and milk it for as long as you can?

We had a bunch of juco's and new players filling up the roster after losing a bunch of players after Tubby's 1st season. Why would the fans need to be told?

Well you cut off the bottom of my post. Tubby said we would be one of the highest scoring teams in the league and we would compete for the league championship. Clearly he shouldn’t have said those things. Because we aren’t either of those things.

All announcers will tout Tubby as a great coach. They aren't losing money, donations, and season ticket sales.

It couldn't have been scripted any better. If someone is looking to completely dismantle a program they need look no farther for a plan than the Memphis Model.
