Two more losses probably means closer to 5

I think today's win should be enough to keep us from the dreaded 4/5 line, which means no trip to San Diego or Boise. Looks like we'll be in Dallas, Nashville (probably everyone's preference), or Wichita. I don't really care if we're a 2 or a 3 seed, just more concerned with who the other protected seeds in our bracket are.

Agreed. 3 seed is the floor now.

UC is looking at a first round game against UConn/SMU and a semi final againsy Tulsa/Memphis. Get to the championship game Sunday and I think a two seed is in order. Win all three? Coupled with early losses by Kansas, Duke, Villanova/Xavier? Dare I say it...

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too. Can't see us being below a 3 with our metrics and splitting against two of our 4 losses. Make it to the conference championship game and we're probably a 2.

It some ways, I may prefer being the best 2 over the worst 1, depending on who we play and where.

I'm not a sadist, but it would feel pretty good to seal club them + his lack performance isn't just hurting them, it's hurting the conference as a whole.

To me, as long as you're a top 3 seed, you're in a good position to win a championship. It's all about match-ups and getting hot at the right time after that. In the modern 64+ team era, here is the breakdown of champions/Final Four appearances by seed:

If XU is the fourth 1 seed then KU should be the 1 seed in the Midwest and XU would be shipped out West.
