Just as bad as Oblunder who loved him a lot of ums, ahs, and you knows. The stuttering didn't help either.

When that telemprompter wasn’t on, he was an absolute babbling idiot.

You must have dementia. Obama was a smooth as silk orator.

I'd love to see Trump in a similar forum with House Democrats...

I'd be happy with another press conference or two by Trump. We're coming up on the 1-year anniversary of his one and only press conference - far and away the fewest by a 1st year president since they started having them.

He can't be trusted to have the discipline to stay on message or even have the same response to the same question. He's winging it and has no intellectual curiousity.

Not to mention he’s an evil racist, but I seriously doubt this will be the last person to resign over abuse allegations. There may not be anybody left in the White House by the time this is over.

4-d chess though. LOL

This administration never ceases to amaze. They actually had some nice momentum and goodwill coming off of the State of the Union and now the budget deal.

Then they go out of their way to praise a guy accused of abusing 2 women (one with a nice shiner as photographic evidence). So much for that momentum.

That’s not the left wing media creating fake news to bring the president down (the go to line from the water carriers on here).

That’s the president whiffing on a softball (hell a beachball) teed up for him. That’s an easy one. This administration just can’t get out of their own way. It would be funny if it wasn’t so embarrassing and sad.

And how long did Obama go without a press conference in his last year?

Don't recall any complaints about that. And he had a press licking his boots, not a bunch of rabid dogs.

So he was nice to a guy who served him well. A guy who claimed he was innocent. Trump never opined on whether that was true or not. It was a very human response. Something the leftist media has no understanding of.

Politically, he could have said nothing or implicity condemned the man. But Trump says what he feels, not solely what is most beneficial politically. He's not a cold calculating soulless politician like most of the people in DC.

Is that why he fired Comey the way he did? Is that why he calls the other lackeys connected to the Russians, coffee boys. Etc.

RE: White house speechwriter resigns over abuse claims.
It was an understandable response, as far as it went. It just didn't go far enough. It was spoken strictly from Porter and Trumps point of view. He whiffed in not recognizing the mood of the country and acknowledging that millions and millions of his country men are very activated by this type of alleged conduct. He had a chance to LEAD by acknowledging there have for far to long been victims to this kind of behavior. He could have won over the respect of many women and men who have suffered domestic abuse by just giving them a nodding acknowledgement.
The problem is not that he's not a politician, it's that he has no empathy and thus did not recognize the moment. That can't be taught. He simply doesn't have it and that's what makes him a terrible leader.
