Peggy Noonan turning into never Trumper
https://www.wsj.com/articles/i-love-a-pa...mail_share

People who use the term "normalizing" have proven they have become "institutionalized." (Peggy Noonan got fame for writing one of Reagan's greatest speeches).

She's convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that Porter is as bad as his exes claim. Maybe he is, but the institutionalized person doesn't consider the alternative as even a possibility, because it would not make the Trump administration look bad.

And a quote from a Never-Trumper exec. Seems the exec can't learn. Trump certainly adjusts things. He is not going to change his personality to satisfy Peggy Noonan, but he is getting things done.

"...The second thing I heard was from an executive in a large American company. He was frustrated. It was clear to me he wants Mr. Trump to succeed, and wants to support him, because in setting in place a deregulatory spirit in the government the president is helping his industry. And his industry employs a lot of people, pays well, and makes possible the building, expansion and peace of a lot of families.
His criticism went right at the Trump supporters’ faith that he will learn in the job. The executive said: He doesn’t learn! He’s not able to. He doesn’t have that mechanism inside that allows people to analyze problems and see their part in them. And without that you can’t improve...."

Look---Im all for throwing wife beaters under the jail. My issue here is the same as my issue with the "Me too" movement. People need to be found guilty before they are sentenced. What we have now is a social media lynch mob. I suspect most of those accused are as guilty as they are portrayed---but I thought the same thing about the Duke LaX team---instead, that turned out to be a complete hoax that destroyed more than one innocent mans life. So, before we fire people and publicly stone the accused in the town square---how about we do what Americans are supposed to believe in and assume they are innocent until proven guilty. They WILL get whats coming to them.

Well at least we can agree on this. I would hate to see an innocent person ruined by a frenzied media.
But there can be a flip side. Willfully choosing to not believe the evidence because it doesn't mesh with our preconceived beliefs is just as bad. And I'm not singling out repubs. Both sides do it.

Basically they had worked with him and knew him. It was contradictory to his personality. The information was disclosed. It was exes, who are notorious for lying. You don't just dump people because of accusations that have nothing to do with the workplace or the job, especially when they come from unreliable sources.

Now, the people most likely to steal are usually the most trusted. Pedophiles are often very personable. So because he was one way in the workplace doesn't mean he wasn't different at home. But he deserves fair treatment instead of a presumption of guilt.
