RE: Wichita State vs. Cincy (Round #1)
Sagarin ratings put uc at a 6 1/2 point fav if the game was held now. Which usually falls close to the Vegas line . Theres some games to be played before that tho.

Right now at Wichita it's basically a pick em. Not taking into account outside circumstances. ....WSU Senior day , conference title possibly wrapped up?

The #5 Cincinnati Bearcats Men's Basketball team continues conference play vs. #19 Wichita State on Sunday, February 18th at 4:00pm. The team needs your help to pack BB&T Arena in order to defend the nation's longest active home-court winning streak of 39 games! COME EARLY, BE LOUD, WEAR RED!

It was just announced that an extremely limited number of Standing Room Only tickets will be made available for Sunday's home contest vs. Wichita State for $50 each. All seating is sold out for this contest.

Tickets are available now for purchase online at TheBBTArena.com or in-person at the BB&T Arena box office, pending availability. The BB&T Arena box office opens 2 hours prior to tip-off. For more information, please contact the Bearcats Ticket Office at 1-877-CATS-TIX.

*Please note, standing room only tickets will not have a seat for this contest. All SRO ticket holders will be required to stand behind sections 115 and 116.

Stub Hub actual seats are going for $120 and up . I'm sure its the same for the game in Wichita

The great Cincinnati is calling for a "red out" against little old Wichita. The circle has been completed. *blushes*

***OFFICIAL CINCINNATI VS WICHITA "TALE OF THE TAPE"***

Point Guard - Shamet vs. Jenifer

Shamet is a future NBA player while Jenifer is undersized and merely an average contributor on his best day.

Advantage: WICHITA

Shooting Guard - Reaves vs. Cumberland

After many inconsistent performances off the bench, Reaves has averaged 17 ppg while playing "big boy" minutes over the past 5 games. Cumberland has been a consistent contributor all season but boasts less efficient shooting numbers.

Advantage: TOSS-UP

Small Forward - Brown vs. Evans

Brown plays more of a platoon role while Evans is his team's leading scorer and a future NBA hopeful.

Advantage: CINCY

Power Forward - Kelly vs. Clark

Both players are tenacious rebounders but Clark has developed his offensive skill set to the point where he is now a player of the year candidate.

Advantage: CINCY

Center
- Morris vs. Washington

Both are very skilled offensive players who can play physical on both ends of the court. I'm looking forward to this match-up most.

Advantage: TOSS-UP

Bench

Cincinnati primarily brings aggressive defenders and rebounders off their bench while Wichita's bench is packed with experience and a strong scoring punch.

Advantage: WICHITA

Coaching

Two very accomplished coaches who have had as much regular season success over the past 5 years as anyone else.

Advantage: TOSS-UP

Intangibles

Cincinnati is coming off a loss and should be hungry as ever to win at home. The longest home winning streak in the nation should stand for something as well in this match-up.

Advantage: CINCY

PREDICTION: Cincinnati 74 Wichita St 67

Quite honestly, some pretty solid analysis there.

Cincy's defense doesn't let you get a clean shot off hardly ever. If shocktop is going to beat Cincy, their shooters are going to have to sink shots with a hand in their face, or someone bodying them up. Shocktop needs to be comfortable taking those kinds of shots... and making them.

For Cincy to win, it's pretty simple. All they need to do is stop shocktop from scoring.

Hope it lives up to all this hype!

Cincy has to score too right? Or are we looking at a 24-11 type of game?

RE: Wichita State vs. Cincy (Round #1)
Houston had Cincy down by 20 in Ohio and then bullied them into submission down in H-Town. Temple beats them in NJ sans brain fart. The Beatcats are beatable by good teams. Wichita State is a good team with the potential to be a great team. Which one shows up on Sunday is anybody's guess. Before this year I would be very confident. Now you've just got to flip a coin. One thing is for sure, the Koch Arena effect will not be in play...

The games I've seen shocktop, y'all basicallly outscore the other team. Shocktop scoring average is 84 per game currently. I'm not reading or seeing that shocktop is exactly known for their defense. Now, the Coog defense held y'all to 59. That's 25 below you're average. So if you merely let Cincy hit their scoring average, they'll drop 76 points on you. That's not high level math to see what could happen.

Cincy defense is (slightly) better than Coog D, and hold everyone below their scoring average. If Cincy clamps down similarly to the way the Coogs did to y'all, it could be a very rough night for shocktop.

Coogs were able to hit their shots under those conditions, and make them play under the same conditions. Can shocktop do that?
