One thing is for certain, ODU is a completely different team when they have a shot maker on the floor. Godwin gave them that last night. They lose if he doesn't get minutes.

Razor - where the eff are the posters saying this season is sunshine and rainbows? Road wins are important in this league. So far we have yet to drop the mind boggling 250+ road loss that usually occurs in the conference, and no team is safe from it. So yes, this win is just as important as the last one. Just because we are happy with a win doesn't mean we are signing Jeff to a 5 year extension. It's another notch in the belt to secure a top 4 seed in the tournament, which is the best we can hope for RIGHT NOW. Then we all know what the end goal is after that. But for now, we just need to win, and we did it. Mission accomplished.

Good posts. You are spot on about Razor. I don't understand why people would want to taunt him after we win a game. I quit reading his post last year, especially after he wrote that Caver's turned ankle late in the season could have been a blessing for us because it could gaurantee us not winning the tournament. Then we could have more ammunition to fire Jones ( or something to that effect). As you said, we just need to keep winning!

I remember many games over the last five years when free throws doomed us. It makes me smile to see them finally working in our favor. I hope that all our guys can work hard and come through for us on the line when we need them

This year’s team has mastered the art of the ugly road win. It’s hard to watch, but I’ll take it. We would have lost this game last year.

And so proud of Godwin - great confidence builder for him and encouraging glimpse for us into his future. The mechanics in his shot are flawless.

Excellent points on Godwin 96. Now, let's hope we can soon have Godwin on one side and Hueitt on the other launching threes. That would be mighty hard to defend.

And I felt the same way about Stith at the line. 6-6 and needed them all. Kudos, the hard work is paying off.

Poor performances happen. We definitely need to play better, but we won the game.

We control our destiny to finish 2nd and could still win the conference with a little help. While we still have yet to get any great wins, our worst loss is @VCU.

Pretty good season so far relative to where we have been lately. I hope we take the next step; still have some time, which has been bought by pulling off wins despite laying a several eggs on the road (Rice, USM, FIU, Fairfield). Past teams laying eggs on the road have resulted in losses. Once the season is over, I'll give my evaluation of JJ, but right now we are in decent shape and have a chance to have an acceptable result, which will happen if shot fall at a better clip. Shoot 9-25 (34%) instead of 5-25 (20%) from 3 against MTSU and we are alone in 1st place. That is the difference right now.

Agree on all points except I think @W&M was our worse loss we had that game won. The Tribe is on a slide now and will probably finish below VCU in the RPI. Right now they are 100 and VCU is123.
