The purpose of the thread for those who can’t comprehend my point is that very few CBB programs need or want an 18K arena especially one that competes with an NBA team and isn’t able to schedule a lot of games at good times and dates due to NBA. We play way too many 11am Saturday morning games. We have lost some home and homes with good teams because of inflexible dates available for us. Plus, if you can’t fill it up consistently, it hurts season ticket demand. This applies to both major sports.

An extreme example that proves that would be the Tiger football team playing in UH’s small football stadium: how many think we wouldn’t have sold out that facility over the past 3-4 years? Fans would be afraid of getting shut out. This was a “what if we had done this scenario”; not a call for new facilities. I hope we can close this thread down.

What if..... is for losers.

Get with the program, buy tickets- support the programs that we have!

Please shove where the sun don’t shine. I have done FAR more THAN MY SHARE for our athletics. I’ve noticed in general that folks who are losers are far more likely to call someone else one.
Did you just call someone else a loser? Asking for a friend.

That line is getting very stale and not humorous at all.

Can you provide data as that how many home and homes we have missed because of the Grizzlies?

So, are you going to pass that info along or do you have to wait a while for that “Assistant AD” to pull it out of his ass?

was that assistant AD the same one who gave you seats behind the bench for suggesting that Penny coach for 1 cent this year? You know, the great idea that you thought of months ago, only after it was suggested here first a couple weeks ago?

Agreed but you don't wait to start plans for a new bldg until a lease is up. And discussing a new bldg doesn't remotely mean you don't support the program where it is presently.

and.....

we have not come close to seeing 9k this year at a game this year.

Actually 12k for Cincinnati announced.

03-lmfao

that is tickets sold and distributed with over 2,000 tickets GIVEN away

actual attendance was 9k or less

Actually this was the attendance announced at the game - and it looked accurate to my attending eyes. Don't know what it represents but it was announced at the game & reported in the box score which doesn't come from the school admin.

Quote:Memphis had a season-high 9,536 fans in FedExForum when it lost to Cincinnati on Jan. 27

Shocking.
