I'm emulating the worst posters on here because..... why?????? It really doesn't make sense. I'm mad that you guys are hypocrits. I've listened for 8 years how Obama is the devil because of the spending. Look at this look at that. Trump gets in office passes a tax cut that costs 1.5 trillion and this spending package is a trillion. It makes me see red...................
As long as you acknowledge that on the same basis as you get the $1.5 trillion and $1 trillion numbers, Obama is responsible for $9.5 trillion, we are on the same page.
I said above what it will take to balance the budget. That’s still what it takes, several posts later. Still waiting for someone to come up with an alternative.

Bump. Still waiting.

Are we just going to have one circle jerk after another of each side blaming the other, or is somebody going to come up with a solution?

No worse than spend like a drunken sailor to enrich the already rich, and cut taxes that benefit primarily the rich AND add to the national debt.
Dems would never pull a double whammy like this.

Uh, did you happen to notice how much the national debt increased under the last POTUS?

Why do the radleft and establishment Dems think it's OK to put the tax-burden whammy on rich people?

Is it OK to put jack up the taxes on poor people? What about the middle class? Is it OK to jack up their taxes?

Oh I gotta hear this please define "leftism" and "Americanism" for me.

I can't speak for him, but to me Americanism means supporting our constitution (original intent) while leftism means subverting it (living document) every chance you get.

Guess I follow leftism then because the idea that we should strictly adhere to a 330+ year old document down to the letter is pure nonsense.

Additionally, every single president sees the debt go up. There are built in increases no president can stop. I don't fault repubs for those increases, only the ones that come from giving massive tax breaks to the 1%

The 1%? You mean corporations? If you notice the 1% can't write off mortgages on high dollar homes anymore... Hence Nancy Pelosi being upset. The tax cuts are bringing industry back and putting money in blue collar paychecks.

Maybe talking with adults ain't your thing. Maybe go back to eating glue and playing in the sandbox is more your speed. Careful with the cat poop. I know it looks like a Tootsie roll, just don't eat it.

No the stimulus was a one time deal. I don’t believe you can lay 9.5 trillion at his feet. These tax cuts yes because they are a yearly loss of revenue.

So are 99% of your comments. It's like you have all these talking points and once pressed you disappear. Learn to defend your stance otherwise you'll be labeled as a troll. And you're not a good one. Take the friendly advice.

Mach sadly I'm not as up to snuff on this as I should be to argue with you. But my understanding is we won't know if these cuts are good or bad for months. Our money guy in our department stated today in theory it should bolster the economy but too many factors could hinder it.

Like hell you can't. That number was the CBO forecast as on January 2017. Not a dime from anybody but Obama at that point.

And if the stimulus was a one-time deal, why did we keep having larger deficits every year that we had ever had before Obama? His smallest deficit was larger than the largest previous deficit eve. And don't play games with 2009. Yes that should have been Bush's budget. But it wasn't.

it's 9.5T.....you have to be a crack whore to not understand that 'why'.....

again, I didn't think it was possible to outdo Carter's socialist policies.....I was WRONG!

When do we cross the Rubicon? I have no problem with deficit spending when we are in times of economic contraction. That makes perfect sense to me. I don’t understand deficit spending in times of economic expansion. I’m done finger pointing at one side or the other. They are both guilty as charged.

In absolute fairness you could say Republicans have just learned to,play the game like D’s. Just rewarding their constituents.

I would take a tax and spend Democrat over a borrow and spend Republican. But in that scenario the a Republican is going to win.

They are Santa . With no January credit card bill. Your kids are going to pay it.
