They stuck it my head because it occurred to me, if true, we were generating around 2/3 the annual amount of B12 P5 annual revenue in BASKETBALL ALONE. So, if we could have gotten FB in the black to the tune of $10-15M a year ( doesn’t seem that hard when you can average around 50K a year), we could have told the P5 to go to hell. However, as we have found out, their revenue is guaranteed and ours is not. We have to rely on an extremely fickle fan base that will not tolerate any less than stellar success.

BTW, I did a much less sophisticated break even analysis on this very subject last week. It purely analyzed how many new (or come back into the fold) season ticket holders it would take to pay Tubby’s buyout and be money ahead. Problem with ANY of these scenarios is the University can’t afford to pay buyout and we don’t know if there is a booster who will.

O yeah. What was the banned poster's name? I kinda of remember too.

Let me think. What did I have for breakfast this morning?

If you can afford to lose $5,000,000 in revenue per year on a venture with a 99% marginal profit margin, then you can afford to eat $9,000,000 to make it stop . The only thing it takes it to decide to do it.

The university doesn't pay his salary so I don't think the university can just terminate his contract unless they just want to run the boosters off.

So you are saying that there are some boosters that would be offended if Tubby were fired? Please let us know who they are.

I keep hearing that "some powerful people" will have to admit they made a mistake in order to fire Tubby or even make a move that would upset Tubby (aka Firing his useless son) but I never hear who these people are and why they are fascinated with Tubby. Please help us out by enlightening us.

Martin and Laurie.

Now we are getting somewhere, you know for a fact that Bill Laurie and Brad Martin were behind the hiring of Tubby Smith, they are still 100% behind him and would be pissed if he is "bought out" even if they did not pay the $$$?

How solid is your information? or is this speculation.?

You don't think Martin and Laurie would do cartwheels if Tubby left?

It just doesn't make financial sense to pay the big donations to guarantee you a good seat. You can get a good seat for every game at less than face value and don't have to buy tickets for the teams you have never heard about.

We'll see how much "he" donates now that there is no tax deduction.
