2018 Transfers
We played "Guess the win total" which was pretty depressing, this may be even more depressing . . . I would set the over/under at 3.5 transfers after this season. Personally I think we lose Nickelberry, Enoh, Rhodes and Thorton. I could also see Brewton leave as well. If any of the Jucos can grad early that def wouldn't be a good thing (not sure how many Jucos set themselves up to grad early tho) and by all accounts Martin is not on pace to grad. which is a good thing. Would he sit out a year to play in a tournament? I wouldn't think so but who knows.

What does everyone think?

I think when the dust settles we only lose Rhodes. The players will be happy to stay and play for whoever our new coach is.

O if we get a new coach, they all stay, if they find out soon enough.

RE: 2018 Transfers
I think Johnson leaves. I think the only reason he is playing is because tubby doesn’t want him to leave . He brings nothing to the game. Nickelberry should be getting his minutes if everything was ok, but Tubbs trying to keep his prize recruit happy

New coach may not want them. Might have time to get better players.

Tubby just happened to have really nice things to say about Nickleberry, Enoh and Thornton during his postgame. Gotta start recruiting them to stay. That’s going to be another load on Tubbys shoulders come the end of the season. He’s going to have to talk some into staying.

He’s going to have to re-recruit current players while also recruiting future players

RE: 2018 Transfers
NCAA evaluating letting students with good academics transfer with no penalty. That happens, these coaches will have to re-recruit players every year.

In this case, I see no reason Martin would transfer. I expect Thornton and Nickelberry to do so. Not sure about Enoh. Rhodes done gone.

Why would Martin want to stay and continue playing with the crap he has to play with and in front of 2,000 people a game?

RE: 2018 Transfers
The transfer rate mainly depends on ability to play right away (although the Lawsons fled Tubby and sat out a year - such was their disdain for Tubby). It is the primary barrier to a mass exodus, IMO.

I will not blame Martin for wanting a legit opportunity to play on an NCAA Tourney team.
