The pub memo clearly stated that Andrew McCabe, before the Committee investigating the Steele Dossier, testified that without the dossier, the FBI would not have sought the FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page. The FBI was allowed to review the pub memo and did not contest that statement. Heck, I don't think even Shiffty has challenged the comment.
We'll see if they contest it once the donk anti-memo memo comes out.
Well, of course. To show that UofM is just pulling something out of his ass...or relying totally on political spin from the GOP. A dangerous gambit...trusting politicians.
I'm not the one being disingenuous here. Sorry.
For me, that one line in the pub memo seemed the most set-in-stone comment in the entire document.
Quote:Furthermore, Deputy Director McCabe testified before the Committee in December 2017 that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.
How many meaings could, "no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information", possibly have?
1. We don't have his testimony to verify.
2. Saying they would not have sought the warrant is a far cry from saying the judge used it exclusively, or prominently, to grant the application, or that his testimony said they would not have gotten the warrant without the dossier.
Odds that when that is made available and we post a link, Tom disappears as usual.
You are a ******* liar. Dude, I already totally debunked your disappearing . Proving that YOU were the one who left. So STFU!

That depends on the world in which one lives, the real one or the bizarro one the donks seem to inhabit.
The problem is, that under court orders by the judge, none of the info should not be in public. They are sealed. Even the Republicans are not agreeing to Nunes's memo. Some have different views. It is not a fair document because Schiff is on the left, and Nunes is on the right. They are partisan, and they think about the party, and not what is right for this country. We need a bipartisan memo that both sides have come up to the agreement. Nunes is willing to destroy our law and order which could hurt this country in the future if we lose our FBI, CIA and others, and we get a terrorist attacks. I would blame it on Trump and Nunes.

So manufacturing evidence is ok then, no big deal.. There is a world of difference between "looking into" and engaging surveillance on.
Quote:The issue with carter Page was that on his website, he proudly said that he advises the Kremlin which means Putin. This was all been out in the open long time before the Dossier ever came out.
And yet they needed the dossier to get fisa approval. And after 90 days of survailence they *STILL* needed the dossier.
Quote:People forget that a GOP started the Dossier by Rubio's backers.
Stop spreading the lie. The GOP paid for opposition research. There was no foreign intelligence agents involved at that end of it. And the GOP *** DID NOT ABUSE THE FISA SYSTEM TO SURVEIL THEIR OPPONENTS **
Remind me again, what was at the root of watergate?
A bunch of republicans performed surveillance on the dems and then tried to hide it. From that angle this is as bad as watergate.

The dossier was not the only evidence that was presented.
If you believe that, then your argument is with Fired Andy.
