Does the FISA judge request new data before granting an extension, or does he simply sign off if the FBI requests an extension? If there's new data presented, has the FBI or the congressional committee commented on said new data?

Finally, Page was under surveillance well over a year ago. Has he ever been charged with anything?

Something like 98.7% of the time.

It's a rubber stamp.

I'd suggest anyone go back and look at Pages resume. There's a reason he was invited to be an unpaid, fringe advisor. A little kooky? Perhaps. A traitor, stooge, or "agent"? Uhhhh, no.

Just wait til he wins his lawsuits. 07-coffee3

Its not a rubber stamp, however the process is exhaustive and intelligence agencies will not go that route unless they are 100% sure they meet the standard. Again, there are only an average of 1000 FISA warrants issued per year. In a country of 325,000,000 that means your chance of having a FISA warrant drawn is 0.000003.

???

So, something in excess of 95% of the time isn’t a rubber stamp?

How “exhaustive” (giggles uncontrollably) could it possibly be if the Deputy Director of the agency seeking said FISA warrant admits that the application of said warrant never would have been applied for if not for its reliance on the (Dir. of FBI, now) the “salacious and unverified” dossier?

What exhaustive judge on Earth would issue that?

And I don’t care if it’s 1 a year. If it’s based on unproven and rather ridiculous, shoddy “evidence”, that’s 1 too many.
That and how many lives has this nefarious witch hunt already ruined, whether by reputation, financially or both?

What Dept do you go to to get your good name back? What recriminations will be awarded once this is over? How does one face their accuser? How does one confront the “witness(es) against him? 6th amendment?

Any y’all leftists realize how freaking hard this entire sideshow Bob political hit job has trampled on one amendment after another? This is banana republic stuff.

When does FranSicko Nan demand Schiffty be removed as minority leader of the committee for releasing his memo?

do you think 1000 annual FISA warrants is excessive? I think its pretty damn low considering the size of the country, the number of people with phones, computers, etc, and the nature of the asymmetric threats to this country.

If it’s based on a fake “dossier” and a Yahoot! article spoonfed from the same author of the pee document, and used not for the claimed surveillance of a suspect, but to gain oppo Intel on a political opponent, then yes. Too many.

This is the corruption and weaponization of our FBI, DOJ, FISA Court(s), and now the freaking Congressional committee of the United States all in a spectacularly failed attempt to first win a political campaign, then later to overturn a duly elected President of the United States.

This should be equally concerning to you leftists, imagine if the Bush admin had pulled this schit against zerO and his brain trust, Jarrett et al.

The extreme-stream media would have its hair on fire and we’d all be rassists. But, by all means, keep it up.

what in the dossier do we know to be fake? what if some of the data in the dossier is similar to information previously obtained?

Obama had a record number of FISA warrants denied in 2016, more than all other years combined.

Which is why they had to game the system.

Only, by the time they gamed the system, Carter Page was no longer a member of the Trump campaign. So they had to "invent" news that said he was, so they could get that tappity tap tap put on Trump Tower.

The question is, who in the Obama administration will be first to become the flip-boy.

that's the position I'm taking......it's just a matter of who and when takes down that 'house of cards'....

the evidence and timeline is in place.....

I'm a patient feller....I see it happening around May when the campaign trail starts heating up for the midterms....

A liberal arguing for more government spying on the citizens? Man this has turned the world on its head for those leaning towards social justice. Libs can’t figure out what they want. Argue one day for, one day against.

No, don’t try and twist it.

The dossier is fake because what’s in it is salacious and unverified, thus rendering it a false exercise in putting forth anything supposedly factual.

It’s a paid for political hit piece, cobbled together from fantasy interviews with Russian agents by a guy “desperate”to not have our President elected. That part CAN be verified.

Very little else. Stuart Smiley wouldn’t even go with it, and we all know now what an upstanding dooshbag that clown is.

Nice try though, Mensa...
