Ballfan 92, Thorpe, Bradley and German are a combined 10 for 30 not 14 for 40.

As soon as they can afford to do so NIU needs to thank Mark Montgomery for his service to the university and give someone else a chance to lead the program.

Miami of Ohio had 3 freshman score 16 or more points today and a sophomore with 10. The 4 of them shot 25/40.
They are not waiting 7 years to turn a program around.

Games like this are a perfect example of why very few people care about NIU basketball at this point. This program is just dead in the water with absolutely no positive momentum. I used to go to a couple of games a year, however, not in the past 5-6 years. Frankly, there is no point to going.

I went to this fiasco today. All I can say is I've seen the same stuff from Monty's teams since day 1. He is a great recruiter, but a terrible coach. At what point will we ever get done rebuilding every year? The players have no intensity, look like they would rather be somewhere else, and it is not a team. That is all on the coaches.

He and Frazier would get along just peachy. Two slick, used car salesmen in the same arena. No thanks!!!

Yep. If I go next Saturday, it will be just for the women's game.

In the section where I sit, I talk to about 5 or 6 of the other season ticket holders. None of them showed up yesterday.

And then you can add Crean's brother-in-law Jim Harbaugh to the mix.

Yea I mean who wouldn’t want a winning coach here? There’s not chance we ever get a coach of creans caliber, but we havent done jack with the last 3 hires. I don’t understand many of your guys logic.

Crean and Harbaugh—-winning coaches, sure—but the act and cameras on me side show has a history of wearing thin. Throw Rex Ryan into the mix.

I'd take the W's all day over what we have now.

I agree with you on that aspect and it’s easy to chat about here, because those guys would have to look in the standings to even understand what conference we are in.

Crean also spent time at Michigan St so I’m pretty sure he knows Monty is at NIU and that NIU is in the MAC. Crean is not coming to NIU for 300k. Groce went to Akron for a million and they have a great history. Stepping stone for Groce back to the big boys

I know he is not coming. More of a hypothetical discussion, but more of the point that we need to try and find someone with some head coaching past. Groce would have been perfect here with having connections already all throughout Illinois.

Yep. But they're young and maybe the offense or perimeter defense will drastically change in year 8 under Monty

03-lmfao You broke my sarcasm meter.
