Pretty nice read out of New Haven. Sounds like Cane really wanted to transfer to UConn but they had no room at the time and Ollie then actually endorsed him going to Mick and UC. Great for us since I think Cane is a big part of this years' team and will need to really take on perhaps the key role on next year's. Meanwhile UConn's plans didn't work out the way they wanted and he'd have been a big help for them if they had him now. He should have a pretty big rooting section for him at UConn for this one.

The article definitely paints Ollie as a good guy. I can see it.

Since Cane was a big star in HS in UConn's backyard I wonder why he was not recruited by them.

Since Cane was a big star in HS in UConn's backyard I wonder why he was not recruited by them.
Probably because the HS officials wouldn't allow Ollie to walk out into the middle of the court during Broome's games to talk to him.
