New article on Tubby
Quote:“I’m one of those guys, I am who I am,”

Quote:“You’re going to toe the line, you’re going to play the right way, or you just leave. I hate to say it.”

Quote:“As a coach, you try to push it as best [you can] and adapt to it, and you try to build a relationship with them and understand, ‘This is why we’re doing it this way, son,’ ”

Quote:“This is why we’re treating you [this way], and this is why we’re trying to push you. We’re trying to correct and improve. If you don’t believe that, I don’t know what else to tell you.”

Well, it is "good for him" and he is "doing it the right way", the only problem is it is at our expense, not his. He's not sacrificing anything, he's not standing up to the man. He's using our $15,000,000+ to prove a point to no one but himself. Oh well, what's 5 years of crummy teams if you can say....

Every successful coach says the same stuff. Tubby will not recruit at a high level. So even if he coach's his players up, they can't overcome teams that have similar coaching and better players.

I would rather have a 'decently' coached team with highly skilled players who want to be at Memphis and play hard.

You can be a horses rear, but I gotta admit that I laughed on the Chris Jericho clip. Well played. 03-lmfao

Most players think they are better than they actually are...

But I question practices because it should be clear who are the top performers there and could be easily be pointed out why who was playing more.

Sounds like a coach. Not sure if you ever played sports, but it’s pretty standard. Again, good for him..

Every coach I ever played for starting in the 8th grade said pretty much the same thing.

Most of the fans already know the actual problem is the dude can't/won't recruit at a high enough level to even get us sniffing the Top 20.
