ECU and USF need to do much better.
Tulane ?
I don't even know what to say. We did better when we were in the A-Sun playing Belmont, Lipscomb, and Mercer every night 15 years ago.
If we hire the right coach and that coach puts a product on the floor worth cheering for, you'll see our # go way up... and quickly.
I believe that. I think ECU has a really good fan base.

Maybe Memphis is following the Texas Tech model - four years of Tubby, get a new coach and welcome to the top 10.

Why? We started reporting actual butts in seats, rather than tickets sold, which are far apart this season.

History is written by the victors. In 50 years us old, decrepit Shocker fans will talk about that 2018 game in Tulsa that was standing room only comprised entirely of Shocker fans. There wasn’t a single Tulsa fan in the building.

IMO, there are factors (eg, watching at home, cost) beyond the control of any coach concerning attendance. Winning and PR (like his life depends on it) are within the control of Tubby and he needs to deliver.
An NCAA bid next year would be wonderful and the run up to it will help boost attendance.

Is it actual attendance? I have no idea since I only watch on tv and it usually looks really, really sparse. Figured it was more on the order of 4000 or so. I know the UC game had over 10,000 so that juiced up the numbers some so you're probably right.
I look on the bright side, that maybe 6000 or so is our floor for attendance, and we can only go up, right?

If we had a real coach & talent stacked team, we'd be walking away with attendance lead at 16-17,000. But our admin is content w/ 2500 and the snooze-a-thon that Tubby brings.

It depends on how much the people weigh.
See, they're going to have all of these "flexible" seats in which the seat will spread out to fit the girth of the person sitting in it.
In other words - a lot of fatties: lower attendance; non-fatties: higher attendance.

Not bad since BKU's BB&T Arena only holds 9,400.
And UC apparently sold out the season so that’s butts in seats
Sold out Season tickets? ... I don't believe they normally allocate 100% of tickets to season tickets.
The number listed for Wichita is sold, not butts in seats. (it's 100% capacity of CKA)
This is correct. We've sold out almost all of the conference games, but the tickets in the student section aren't for sale. The ones aren't picked up by students is the gap in the number I believe. Student attendance has been rough this year, but I can't blame them too much considering the location switch.

You are right. They aren't bad. Instead, they are horrible! Especially considering actual attendance is closer to half that number. There are high schools that draw more people to their gyms than ECU does. It's truly remarkable how bad ECU basketball has been for so long.
