RE: Brooks play
Brooks, Scott, Evans (if he is still here), Cumberland, Broome/Jenifer. I expect Broome and Jenifer to be on the floor together quite a bit. Nsoseme is the first big off the bench and Trevor Moore starts if Evans leaves with Williams spelling at wing. Diarra is the odd man out but will get his chance at pf bc Brooks is prone to fouls

We might end up playing a little more of the zone defense we used when Ellis and DeBerry were here.

Maybe find a serviceable big in the JC ranks, or grad transfer.

RE: Brooks play
He reminds me of Donald Little his frosh season. Once he got out from behind KMart he became a force inside. His quickness and physicality were on full display yesterday. Those three slams were impressive. I have high expectations.

I think that's the ticket for next season. Even if that big is just part of the rotation. Honest question, are any of the bigs on the bench able to step out and knock down a 3 point shot the way Gary and Kyle do? That's made this current squad much more dynamic offensively. Not saying it's not there; I just haven't seen it.

i can't think of any of the bigs taking a trey during the season. That's not a bad thing as i imagine when they get some run it's not to launch treys. That said, i don't recall Clark launching with any regularity prior to this season either.

RE: Brooks play
It's all mental for Brooks at this point. He's big enough and smooth enough around the hoop that he doesn't have to hesitate, juke, pump fake, et. al around the hoop. Just commit to finishing strong. He's transitioning from being the biggest guy on the court to now being a big guy, and he doesn't consistently show the confidence you need. He can't worry about missing. Hopefully he let's it fly as when he screws up offensively, it impact him defensively. That hesitation today at the hoop against a smaller defender where he lost it off his body, i would show to him 100 times. He should have crushed that. You can't play that way at nearly seven ft. tall.

Diarra can shoot the 3, but we haven't seen enough of him to know for sure he'll be ready to contribute next year. I like the idea of a transfer, but it needs to be a guy with an offensive skill set who is either an upgrade over what we have, or offers something vastly different than the guys on the roster now. We don't need another big with limited offensive skills.

It would be great if Brooks had a Justin Jackson-esque transformation going into next year. It would solve a lot of our concerns, because he definitely has the physical tools. You're right that it's mostly in his head.

Diarra can shoot it from three. We haven't seen much of him (Cronin said he was dealing with an injury a while back), but I imagine he will get significant minutes next season.

According to Diarra's twitter he labels himself a SF. Not sure I've seen the skillset that he could play that way.

Eh... I'm not going to make anything of that just yet.
I haven't seen enough of him and I don't know that his mind is settled on that or will continue to be settled on that.

Yeah, I hope he's not another Jermaine Lawrence. From what I've seen so far, he's a stretch 4. Seems like everyone wants to be LeBron or Durant now, so you get a bunch of kids calling themselves 3's when they're really 4's.
