Yup, I've been convinced for a long while that that's the story. Susan Rice et al (with a wink and a nod from Magic Man) getting their hands on data (names) for "intelligence" sources and then leaking that information to the press to influence the election or damage the incoming president after the election.
You were also convinced that the Boogeyman was real. 05-stirthepot

I think there is reason to believe they used the FISA warrants or another vehicle to justify spying on many more Republican candidates.

I think some of them walked in and read that memo only to realize that THEY were targets.

I think that is why they are so pissed. I think that is why the memo is going public.

And I think that is why the Democrats looked like death at the SOTU.

I hadn't considered that perhaps the spying was even wider than Trump and crew. I doubt it, but if that's the case, it would be YUGE.

We know Obama spied on media members critical of him.

Oh, I’m fairly certain it involved several of the ‘16 Candidates, which did include sitting Senators, Governors, was there a House member in there? Not going through the laundry list of all of them.

But, yea. As dismissive as everyone was of a possible Trump nomination, much less presidency, I’m sure the net was cast far and wide beyond just Trump.

His just got put on dirty steroids once he won the nomination, then they kicked in the “insurance policy” from Andy’s office once he won the General.
Hence why “Andy” got thrown out the window... haha

We know the DNC was working with the media to undermine Bush, Christie and Rubio who they were scared of and promote Trump, Carson and Cruz. Not a stretch for the Obama administration to cooperate in that effort.

Yea, I’m thinking more oppo research and compromising material(s) if any, moreso than pushing one candidate or another. So they can pass along any info on the candidate to be, in collusion with the dirty H> campaign, to try and undermine the R candidate and influence the election.

We all saw how dumbo ears went on a frantic, whirlwind campaigning spree in the closing days, as the internal polls undoubtedly read this as too close to call.

They all knew this stuff would come out if ANYONE but H> won the general, and the failed former presidents failed administration would be further tainted by the corruption and disruption these people endeavored to create.

Even with all the cheating she lost in rather spectacular fashion, please do “I’m with Her” in ‘20.

We know Obama spied on media members critical of him.

And used the IRS to attack enemies. Using the US intelligence and law enforcement agencies as political weapons is just business as usual for the Nixonian Obama administration.

Make no mistake, they were so certain of a Hillary win, there was zero concern any of this stuff would ever see the light of day. There would be plenty of loyal comrades to bury anything incriminating. We know this because the Hillary email scandal was easily dispensed with despite it being clear that she was guilty of using an unclassified server and, more importantly, blatant obstruction of justice in the destruction of incriminating data. Honestly, my guess is that the data/emails was destroyed because it would prove that the White House was sharing data gained from the FISA survellience directly with Hillary.

Heck, the DNC was undermining one of their own in Bernie Sanders when it looked like he might overtake Hillary. This is the same party that was proven to have colluded with networks to provide Hillary with questions prior to a debate. I don't see how anything can be surprising anymore when it comes to them.
