Hurts Middle as well. Now you’ll have no Top 50 wins. You better win the tourney just like everybody else. Sucks for this conference but that’s the way it stands now.

I’ve been worried about this game since they went into Birmingham and bitchslapped the Blazers. Then took out Marshall. We were no match for their intensity today. We had one player that matched them and that was Tayveon Hollingsworth. They got every 50-50 ball in the game. Killed us on the boards. Played a zone and packed it in tight. We had nobody that could hit outside. That’s the recipe to beat us.

You are still in the top 50 even with the loss. And sans another egg being laid I think you will. And there is little chance we lose you as a Tier 1 win as that's 1-75 on the road. Was hoping y'all could finish in the top 30 though. That would have given us two Tier 1 wins. 02-13-banana

Helluva' week for UTSA, nice job guys. Jackson against MU was just incredible. Un-guardable inside the 3 pt. line. And just a freshman, wow.

No way we stay in any top 50. This isn’t the last loss either. We haven’t played well since the ODU road game. Something is wrong with this bunch right now. Stans was livid after the game. Said he saw it coming in the shoot around. Told them about it. Did absolutely no good.

Thompson is really struggling and this team has played to his level all year. Pack a zone and dare us to beat you outside.

Sounds like a lack of leadership on the floor and maybe in the locker room. That's Johnson role to fill no?

BTW, Charlotte is balling out tonight. Those guys came to play. Shooting 55% from the floor against our D. No one has done that.

Refs help Rice choke away a late 8 point lead to lose at UNT. Rice didn’t play well enough to win but played better than NT today. Mean Green is 6-4.

Refs giving Charlotte free points all night. Watching on CUSA.tv -- really bad calls on both ends. Walters called for a foul after standing still, hands straight up, and getting run into. That's happened twice. What's he supposed to do? Back away? They'd probably still call a foul.

Rice def felt like the better team tonight. They turned the ball over too many times but they played better in most other facets tonight. Im still stressed out and it's been over for half an hour.

Now we start the Stretch of Doom with UAB, MT, WKU, and MU.

Charlotte shoots 53% from the floor. First team in league play to shoot better than 50% (make that 46%) against MT. Nearly pulled off the upset. One possession game and Charlotte misses a long three to tie it in the final 15 seconds.

Wonder if the slugfest against ODU took something out of our team? Or maybe we didn't come as ready to play because of Charlotte's record. We didn't play with the same level of intensity on defense tonight, but a ton of credit to the way Charlotte played. They were well prepared for this game and shot lights out tonight.

FWIW, based on the foul call discussion we've been having MT with double the fouls called on us in another road game. Until the final few seconds when Charlotte had to foul intentionally only three called on the Niners in the second half and only nine total the first 39 and 1/2 minutes.

Giddy only played ten minutes or so due to an upper thigh/groin injury according to Kermit.

Yep, and after scoring 18 Wed, Johnson picked up the slack with 23 tonight.

I wonder if that was porter? Last game he came down from a rebound, tip, or dunk, cant recall but as he came back down he and pots collided and porters knee went right into his upper thigh and pots bent over and I saw his face and it looked like it caught him good. Might have turned into a good bruise.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

Could be. We played like garbage too. Luckily so did UAB.
