I heard a pundit comment today that Griffin is a of a by gone era. His game does not fit the current NBA style.

I would disagree with that pundit. Blake is shooting 6 threes a game this year, so has adjusted pretty well. 23 ppg, 8 rebounds pg and 5 assists per game. Injury is the big risk, since he has 4 years left on a huge contract.

Just under 3 years ago, Clips beat the Spurs in 7 in the first round. Were up 3-1 on Houston in Round 2 and lost 4-3. Including the game 6 in LA when they were up 17 in the 4th quarter in a closeout game, got outscored 40-15 in the 4th Q and lost by 13. All time choke job. In retrospect, that's the end of that version of the Clips being a great team.

The Clips had a window like we did and it closed.

We missed up trading Gay/Speights/Ellington in 2013 and losing to the Clips in 2012;

They lost series they could have won. We both would have given the Heat a run for their money.

Not Woj, but NBA trades seem to be heating up. Don't think Tyreke was a real option to go back to N.O. So, if true, Chicago had to take back a bad contract to get a first.
