Agree. They basically have the standard eight-man rotation. Coaches would like to have more, but eight is enough. Frederick and Bersntein go in for a few minutes in a pinch. Are there any others than those 10 dressed and eligible?

Nwankwo. I'm guessing Johnson is gone at this point. Haven't seen him in a few weeks.

Thanks, I forgot about Nwankwo. What's his story, has he been injured or just not earned getting in the games at all?

Here's something I've been wondering for a while. Anyone know De La Rosa's academic standing? He came to Kent out of JUCO with three years of eligibility left. So I assume that means he had to have completed his JUCO degree. So does that mean he's on pace to graduate this spring? I ask because I'm sure there are plenty of schools that would be happy to try to poach a 7 footer that rebounds, scores, and shoots 80% from the line. If that is an option I hope he stays loyal... But I also wouldn't hold it against him if he wanted to try to get more exposure as the NBA could be a realistic possiblity for him.

You’re a great fan and I agree with almost every post you make. Some power conference teams may want DLR but I’d be stunned if any NBA general managers thought he had NBA potential. I guess if he hit the weights really hard and improved a whole bunch it may be possible but it sure seems like one hell of a long shot right now.

I’m also the guy who thought that LeBron would have an adjustment period. When he went to the NBA 01-lauramac2

RE: Kent State vs Buffalo
It's not as crazy as you might think. John Edwards played 2 years in the NBA and AD is arguably having a better Jr year than his Sr year. In more recent history Shayne Whittington played 2 years in the NBA out of WMU. His Jr year was very comparable to what AD is doing right now. He improved some in his Sr. year but not a crazy amount. And both of those guys stints were before the invention of the 2-way contract. If I was an NBA scout the big thing that would stand out to me is he's not blocking shots the way you would hope from a 7 footer and he turns it over too much. Other than that he checks off a lot of boxes scouts look for, size, length, moves well, free throw shooting, can hit mid range jumpers, plays with intensity. I'm not saying he's a lock by any means or that he'd ever get more that a cup of coffee. Just that I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the radar for teams this time next year.

One other quick comment. In regards to this conversation it doesn't really matter if he does have a shot at the NBA. It matters if he thinks he has a shot and if he thinks leaving as a grad transfer improves that opportunity. Personally, I think the risk out weighs the benefits because here he's a lock to be one of the go to guys next year but he could end up being Jarron Simmons and riding the pine his Sr year elsewhere. Of course, this all assumes he's on track to graduate this spring... Which I have no idea if he actually is.

I hear you...personally I think Whittington was much better than ADL but I certainly see the compairison to Big John. ADL's stats this season are probably significantly better than Edward's were as a Junior (John had Gates doing a lot of scoring and rebounding). The thing that made John stand out was his shot blocking...Very long arms, decent timing and a pretty hops.

ADL is gaining confidence and is getting better! He tends to play better against teams without much size in the post. Thought Toledo's post outclassed ADL. Let's see how he does against EMU. Should be interesting. Thank God we've got a big man worthy of discussing the NBA or P5 schools!
