Exclamation Knoxville Paper admits what we all knew.
Goals for 2018

Be one of the top two teams in the state

In the Vols’ last public appearance, they were throttled by in-state rival Vanderbilt 42-24 at Neyland Stadium. And I think we know how UT would have fared against Memphis, which went 10-3 and finished in the Top 25 this past season.

Memphis will return 15 starters and coach Mike Norvell, who occasionally was mentioned as a candidate for other head-coaching jobs. Vanderbilt will lose 12 starters but will return quarterback Kyle Shurmur, who has led it to 87 points and 1,137 yards in his two starts against the Vols.

Still wish we improved our OOC scheduling. There is some time and availability to make ‘19 season and beyond better.

I went to college in Knoxville...
I had a few UT fans as friends...who have GOT to have their stomachs turn as they read that.

Of course I also had to listen to them insist how Memphis would NEVER beat UT in football...(this was 1991)
