Dan Gurney
Was saddened to hear of the passing of Dan Gurney.

Surprised that he passed 2 weeks ago and little was said of it.

Iconic car driver, owner and builder.

Still the only American driver to ever win a F1 race in an American car.

He accomplished that in his Eagle the week after him and AJ Foyt won at Lemans in the Ford GT.

He also introduced a tradition in racing. He was the first to spray the crowd with champagne.

RE: Dan Gurney
I have great respect for race car drivers, as their sport is a lot more physically demanding than many realize. Especially with the handling/braking of those old timers' cars.

Hard to see legends dying off.
