After a nice win Friday over the Pride the Lady Dukes close out the weekend with a game against CofC. The Dukes won against the Cougars last weekend in Charleston. Duke Dawg Reading Day tomorrow so I would expect a nice sized crowd. Wife and I will be in our usual spot next to the tubas. Looking forward to a good game tomorrow.

This is one of the two best reasons for having season tickets - a parking pass for R Lot next to the Convo!! Today should be a fun game. Hopefully the team feeds off the energy that Duke Dog Reading Day brings. I expect a good offensive showing from the Dukes today and predict a strong win. I will be in my usual spot at the top of section 115 behind the bench!!

Wife and I will be hitting the road soon. Hope to see a great crowd today to cheer the Dukes on to a win!! Parking pass is a great perk of season tickets as LovethoseDukes mentioned. Particularly with the new dorm construction starting.

At the half JMU is up 30-25. Balanced scoring with no one player scoring more than 6. Good crowd today.

Just got home from the game. Great crowd over 3600 according to the box score. 4 of the 5 starters had 10+ points and Kayla had a double double for the game. Logan had 5 steals and was all over the court as was Smalls crashing the boards and collecting a bunch of boards. Overall great effort today by the Dukes who are now 9-0 in conference play at the midpoint of the season.

Tough couple of games coming up next weekend at W&M and at Elon. The Dukes need to bring it hard both games.

Will probably make the trip to W&M for the game Friday. See how things turn out.

If we could land another Burkholder, who was a scoring machine but not a one woman show (and didn't want to be) we'd be set for a few years. Though she was grounded by her friend and HS teammate in having Nikki Newman by her side.

What the heck happened down on the end line between Cooper-Williams and that pipsqueak CoC player? That's the first time I've EVER seen Kayla get salty! Usually she's pretty chill.

I noticed CoC had a couple of "floppers". I guess that's the only way some teams think they can get an advantage.

Wife also noted that she was surprised (as was I) that Kayla snapped back at the CofC player. Had also never seen that before. She is usually so level headed and unflappable. I think she was trying to hook Kayla around the basket and Kayla was having none of that.

Did note the several "flops" that CofC had during the game. The Coach was apoplectic a couple times when there were no calls but acting class was definitely in session.
