I always liked Kippy Brown as the Maniax head coach. Remember he quarterbacked our Tigers to that big win at Auburn in 1975. Don't guess he ever got another head coaching shot.

Didn't Vince learn the last time? I mean, the USFL, the XFL didn't make it. I am sure that there's a few cities that would support it, but I just don't think there's that much of a market for it. Plus, arena football league pretty much went away as well.

The league will fail just because Vince is goofy enough to start the season in January. Nobody will want to watch the XFL in the middle of NFL playoffs. If he was smart he would start the season after the NFL draft and have the championship during dead period in sports around July.

1. Kick off in 2020 and play during NFL off season
2. 8 teams with 40 man roster
3. No franchise (league owned)
4. Likely distributed over multiple forms (eg, Facebook streaming)
5. No politics or social issues
6. Games under 2 hours goal
7. No WWE crossover
8. “Fan Centric”
9. CTE awareness
10. Winning incentivized
11. Players with criminal records barred
12.Two semi final games and a championship game.
13. Not an NFL Development League

I have long advocated rewarding winning. Players and coaches need to care about winning at least as much as their fans/customers.

The city of Memphis won't be awarded a team this time. THAT Memphis (the Memphis that actually got cool things) is long gone. We're a trash dump city now. Now Nashville, on the other hand, has a fantastic shot

One good idea for the new league would be to have 10 players on defense, you would get some complaining at first but it would make incompetent offenses look better.

another is to limit traveling squads to 32 players, it would give the home team an advantage this is good for ticket sales.
