Does the SoCon Have A TV Deal?!?
Does the socon actually have a tv deal? Why is there s horizon league game on Friday night in ESPNU and not a SoCon game? Whoever in the socon office in charge of that should be fired.

And last night two OVC teams played on the U. No reason that SoCon should not be on.

Agreed, it is sad that the Socon doesn't have at least one game a week. They need to step it up.

Exactly. At least get a deal to broadcast games in the SoCon footprint region. My AT&T U-verse setup brings in way too many games from far away places with teams playing that there could not possibly be but a few alumni/fans remotely interested in viewing.

No they dont. The only deal they have is on the digital side (ESPN3). it grinds my gears the SoCon doesn't get at least one game on ESPN's side channels or NBCSports/FoxSports.. Theres absolutely no reason why Miss. Valley St. and Grambling are on ESPNU and a good SoCon game isn't. Just preposterous

SoCon leadership is horrible. They erroneously think they’re a football conference when a legit effort on the basketball front could make the conference and it’s schools so much more prominent. Big need for some heads with vision. Have a conversation with Doc Sander on this topic. Enlightening.

No reason they can’t be both but a Friday night “game of the week” in basketball should have been an easy sell. No reason the horizon and ovc should have better tv deal than socon.

I domt see how streaming on espn3 didn't have a shoe in for a tv game per week. I mean its a damn deal with espn...

Just like the CAA. At least the SoCon has ESPN3. The CAA has CAA.TV online and the semis and finals of the conference tourney on CBS Sports Network. Other than a few local games, that’s the only games on television.
