“When you are covering a live event, you are covering what’s happening,” Gaudelli said. “If there are players who choose to kneel, they will be shown live.”
Announcers likely will identify the players, explain the reasons behind the actions, “and then get on with the game,” Gaudelli said.
What NBC plans to do about Superbowl protests
I wonder if our next president of the US will be in attendance? I feel dirty. I watched the last two games. Sob...
But unless I'm forced () by attending a Super Bowl Party I will not watch.
We've already declined two. Refuse to watch entitled bastards disrespect the flag my son is serving and my father, father in law & both grandfathers and their fathers before them served while bashing my brothers in blue with an outright lie. As I said in the OP......**** the NFL. I'll go sit by my firepit, drink a few Shiner Bocks & listen to bluegrass on Pandora.

I plan to do something similar but I'll watch Hee Haw re-runs on YouTube and drink Foothills IPAs.

Regardless, I'm sure you realize there is a huge difference between the NFL as an entity, and their employees individual rights, right?
Have a FedEx or Pepsi employee burn a flag on duty in uniform and see how far employees individual rights go.
Dude...the took a knee. Get over it.
Then stop saying an NFL player has individual rights on the job. You know that isn't true, yet you keep trotting out that lie.
Well they do have the right to kneel. The NFL and owners then have the right to discipline that player.

I doubt very much Trump will be there in Minneapolis. You can't golf in Minnesota in February.
Pence was the Super Bowl last year in Houston. Odd because Kaepernick was protesting (and actually in the league) in 2016.

RE: Yet another reason to continue my NFL boycott
BTW the Super Bowl has run plenty of controversial commercials through the years so I do think it's sad the NFL rejected this one (probably because it attacks the NFL directly). Tim Tebow had a pro-life commercial in 2010, but I didn't see pro-choice folks boycotting the league because of that ad. There was also a political ad from the White House itself in 2002 that implied buying or using illegal drugs helped fund terrorists.
Also in the ongoing ratings news, the AFC and NFC Championship games were down 8 percent from 2017. That's not great but it's still an improvement from the first two weeks of playoff games this year. Oddly, the AFC game (Jacksonville-New England) drew better ratings than the NFC game (Minnesota-Philadelphia) even though the latter game was the primetime contest (it was also a blowout).
New England-Philadelphia in the Super Bowl should give the NFL decent enough ratings. Not record numbers by any stretch but it will again easily be the highest rated show of 2018 is my guess.

This isn't a commercial, its a print ad in the souvenir program. The NFL asked that AMVETS take out the hashtag in it and AMVETS said no. Pretty stupid of the NFL as they should have known that AMVETS would make this public.

Wow...don't go out on a limb too far there.
This is just another to the list of the NFL mishandling things that are causing damage to their brand.

On their own time? Sure they do. While they're on the job? No they don't. At least if they expect to still be employed.

He was? Unless I'm mistaken the Patriots and Falcons played on a football field, not on VP Pence.

Not seeing a political angle with that, more the NFL afraid of offending some "phantom" person.
