I think most fans would take Cal back in a heartbeat. 03-lmfao

Folks who knock his actual coaching skills often forget how his teams play ferocious defense year after year...a reliable sign of some serious coaching happening in practices and games, FWIW IMHO. 04-cheers

folks that knock his coaching skills are ignorant or jealous. Cal is a far better than average coach and is very good at developing players and teams -- he does seem to make a few bad calls during games which come back to bite him 03-drunk

Tell us all the players that he has "developed"? Guys that were mediocre, that he made into superstars? Or, any guy that became significantly better under his tutelage?

And coaching skills? Tell us about the teams that played above their potential, due to his good coaching?

Finally, tell me again how many national titles he has, with all the top recruiting classes/multiple first round NBA picks he reels in every year?

Further, tell me about his coaching tree. Barbee? DK? (Did I miss somebody?)

I don't know how much he developed guys...

But I will say this...Look at all the players from that 08 final four and who actually made a dent in the NBA. I wouldn't say that Memphis was outtalenting any of those squads looking back.
