RE: OOC
Through 12/24, the Big East has won 100 of 123 games (81%).

Villanova: 12-0
Xavier: 12-1
Seton Hall: 11-2
Creighton: 10-2
St. John's: 10-2
Georgetown: 10-1
Butler: 10-3
Marquette: 9-3
Providence: 9-4
Depaul: 7-5

Providence has not performed to expectations due to several players being injured.
Pat Ewing went with an easy OOC schedule his first year as coach at Georgetown.
Depaul scheduled more aggressively but went 0-5 versus the P5 conferences.

RE: OOC
the thing though with the records is that for Georgetown it's fluff and won't help much- they need 11 wins to make the tourney. And St John's still has Duke left which is a likely loss. The 5-8 group has Butler and Marquette with 3 losses, Providence with 4 losses.

Right now-
Nova, Xavier, Seton Hall, Creighton, St Johns- get to 9-9 and in easily(Nova, X at least could go 8-10 without worry, maybe even 7-11)
Butler, Marquette- 9-9 probably gets them in.
Providence- needs 10-8 to make tourney
DePaul, Georgetown- both needs 11-7 to make tourney

RE: OOC
the 20pt loss at home to PC should set SJU back. unless of course PC is healthy again and can make some noise. We shall see with todays games for both of them

You would think so....

I think PC is the best hope for the Big East to get a 6th bid. not really sold on Marquette at all, and St John's is pretty banged up.
