Coverage of Shutdown
Is MSM doing wall to wall coverage of shutdown including showing monuments being closed as a result of minority party obstruction?

I wanted to watch my guilty pleasure of Lockup late on Sunday nights but MSNBC was having coverage at 11:30pm on a ******* Sunday.

All the media seems to be covering is polls asking the question of who is to blame. Pretty stupid.

Send them to the Senate instead. Lots of untamed creatures throwing poo around when they aren't sleeping instead of working for their food as they would in the real world.

RE: Coverage of Shutdown
So we are keeping all "essential" personnel and furloughing all "non-essential"? Here's my question. If someone is not essential, why am I being taxed to pay his/her salary?

Here's the way the shutdown should be applied. Start with the lowest paid employees and work your way up until you run out of money. And no back pay.

I heard a comment today that Trump will keep the government closed as long as possible, and use the shutdown to ID and then fire all "non-essential" personnel. Once fired, these displaced workers would be able to quickly find private sector work in the growing economy.....

I don't want DCAA outsourced to a private firm that might actually know what they are doing.

I would simply sever all payments made to all of congress with a severe penalty attached based on individual net worth if resolution isn't achieved within the req'd period....

they work for us.....it's not the other way around as some currently believe.....

term limits solves the non essential equation....they get whittled out over time....

'course we both know none of any of this is plausible in the current schema.....

Its wall to coverage every day. The gym I go to has a bank of TVs and one of them is always on CNN...they have not talked about anything but Trump for a month during the 7 am to 8:30 time slots. Must be what they think their viewers want. Good Lord I've never seen anything like it.

Its the Trump Derangement Syndrome Channel.

Trump and his trolling by tweets and voicemail are poisoning the well. It's not helping to get a deal done.

they would talk about him not tweeting.

I would not be surprised at all if they started a clock XXX hours since Trump's last tweet.
