Woodside today 6 of 12 for 68 yards and an interception on the opening drive. Not a great day for Logan.

Quote:"I think (Toledo quarterback Logan) Woodside is going to play in the NFL,'' Martz said. "He's further along than any quarterback we've had at this time. Ten or 11 guys are not just going to make teams, they're going to play.''

Wasn't pulling punches there was he. But will it be enough to get draft notice? MVP of that pre-season camp, this comment from a Superbowl winning Offensive Coordinator....

Still think I prefer a Free Agency pick your route to a low draft pick but I'm probably not aware of the details. Remove "probably." Three months to impress.

Nice to hear the good report about him.

Looks like he started the game and threw a pick on the 1st play. But, he was hit as he threw and the ball was tipped.

Highlights

Here is a video of most of the game. It starts a few minutes in, but Logan is still in on the National team's next offensive series. There is an interview with Kareem at 14:28.
More Logan at 1:14:40
You're gonna love the play he makes at 1:21:30

I think he may have just guaranteed himself Rookie of the Year.

I think it has to be in a regular season game but taking a page from Hunt’s book can’t hurt.

RE: Today NFLPA Bowl-Logan Woodside
I only saw bits of this game. When I turned it on, he was in and threw a 3rd and long pass high and behind the receiver - much like in the bowl game. Saw him again in the second half when he placed a pace perfectly for about a 20 yard gain, then on the next play - he threw a pass that hit an OL in the helmet, bounced back to him and he caught it - then was drilled by a 315# DL. Got an illegal touching penalty on the play. Didn't see much else of the game, but from the comments posted - it sounds like he impressed a few NFL guys.

BTW - great crowd at the Rose Bowl. Looked like a BG home game against any MAC team except Toledo.

In these college post season games the practices working with pro coaches and under close eye of pro scouts are more important then the actual game performance-in fact most pro scouts do not even go to the game as they can watch the game film. If Woodside made a good impression during practices - as comments made seem to suggest he did-then pro scouts may be inclined to spend some more time looking at his film and closer consideration at combine and his pro day. Still unlikely that he moves up much in the draft from current 6-7rd/FA status, but never hurts to have more teams looking and considering. Although I would agree going as undrafted FA may be better in the long run potentially giving him more options to consider. If he keeps his focus and works hard he will have his chances and I wish him the best.
