Two problems with that statement.
1. If you are saying that state laws override Federal laws, it doesn't matter which law it is. Either the states have to follow federal law or they don't.
2. There was no law which said that states had to remain a part of the USA. Secession was not illegal.

If a leftist was half as smart as he thought he was, he would be twice as smart as he is.

The simple solution to this is whether the states have authority over immigration. If not, then not cooperating with ICE has nothing to do with states rights at all.
