Watching that game at the Coliseum. WOW, we thought that the dome was a bad environment for basketball...

Also interesting that the Citadel is not doing anything special to defend Alonso, just their straight zone.

Citadel with a small early lead.

Not a fan of the coliseum. 3100 there last night and it felt empty. It's not a good environment for mid major basketball. It's got a ton of history, but I'm really hoping G figures out a new plan.

There’s no local Civic Center or anything that seats around 5000?

RE: Citadel vs G
Not exactly. There's technically 3 different arenas in the Coliseum Complex. The main one (23,500) the Special Event Center (4,800) and the NBA G-League Fieldhouse (~2,000).

I would like to see us look at using the SEC, but it's not as easy as that. The coliseum is a city run facility that is a huge money marker in the region. And most of that money is made on big weekend trade shows and weekend AAU style events (volleyball, cheerleading, etc) and they have no desire to give that up for UNCG basketball. The Fieldhouse is owned completely by the Charlotte Hornets and it's theirs alone.

So, there's really not a good solution to the problem at the moment except to grin and bear it.
