It is all 4D chess and brilliant misdirection on behalf of JJ and the staff.

Randy will be known as the CUSA flagship 3PT specialist by the time the CUSA tournament is over.

RE: Randy Haynes
What a great day for Randy Haynes. Great article written by Ed Miller about him, then you lead your team to victory on the same day. I'm sure Randy will remember this day for a long time. 6-8 shooting, 4-5 from downtown and 2-2 from foul line.

A day to remember Mr. Randy Haynes.

Now, let's do it some more!

RE: Randy Haynes
The game I saw him play against Dayton was pure magic. He had 25 points on 9 of 13 shooting. It showed me that he can score at will. UD had no answer for him.
I am really glad he stayed too. Outside a bad shot from time to time, he has really stepped up his game this year and improved on his shot selection. Lead us Randy! We so desperately need leaders on this team!

Great point Roanoke. I know that Marshall game BJ seemed to want to be the vocal leader but the ref put a stop to that.

Not sure who the leader of this group of guys really is.

And it was working for BJ. That was the turning point of that game. We need that BJ back, and JJ needs to tell BJ just keep the language clean and tell the refs to pound sand. Trash talking is part of the game.

You do realize that the ref could have given BJ a tech instead of telling JJ to tell him to stop. Last i checked most refs will allow guys to jaw back in forth on the court as long as it’s not excessive... talking to the opposing team’s bench is not the same thing.

If he isn't using profanity, he isn't breaking any rules. He must have been using profanity. Cut that out and he might have something. It works not just for self motivation, but psychology. Ask Jalen Rose.

Same here - he is not afraid to shoot and often hits a big shot when our offense locks up late in the game. And his defense is outstanding. He is a game changer. I’m glad he stayed and Talley exited.

Check the rulebook. It’s an unsportsmanlike Tech regardless of the language.

Bingo. I used to get debated to death on this point but not so much lately. The fact that he is WILLING to stroke it makes defenses run at him much differently than what we've seen in the past. And the resulting scoring balance on this squad is quite impressive.

15-4 with a top 5 like CUSA has is no easy task. Credit to the staff and the players.

RE: Randy Haynes
Randy and BJ together give us two wing players capable of carrying the team. That is a solid one two punch. Throw in Caver's explosiveness and X showing signs of the potential we have seen in him and our back court is looking strong. When X is aggressive he may be the best we have at getting to the basket, or close to Caver. Plus Porter and Brandon appear to be getting better at staying out of foul trouble. When they do, they are a load up front for any team to handle. Carver is playing a solid backup role and we all have confidence in Hueitt and Godwin giving us decent minutes if called upon. I like the way we are shaping up for the rest of the season.

Agree. Talking smack to the bench ain't cool.
