I am an OOTer who had seasons tickets for 10 straight years beginning with the Tic Price era and through to the glory years of Cal. I saw the 1998 (?) game against Miami (when Miami was ranked) at the Pyramid in front of maybe 4k fans and thought that was really bad/ugly. I am not angered/happy by the crowd size, I am more concerned about its impact on the program in general.

I got to sit wherever I wanted (chose back wall of lower level). The $11 beer was delicious. I could hear EVERYTHING including a referee asking UConn guard "why are you guys not huddled up?" during a break in the action for call discrepancy (between refs). Only negative: poor basketball. Watching our assistants during Pre-Game was like watching 7-8 graders prep for a game-Saul being the biggest goof.

It's a different experience at games but it's a good experience. Fans are fun. Room is abundant. And the things you have the ability to see are different due to the lack of people present. In recommend it. If you want good experience: Go to Games. If you just want good basketball: Check out East HS, FACS HS, TRA HS, Briarcrest HS, Cordova HS, etc

It happens everywhere in the South and most place up north when unusual amounts of snow and ice coincide with a home game. You just never see is because you don't see every game televised. Purdue v Michigan when it just snowed 12 inches would probably rate a similar crowd (I use 12" in Michigan because that is probably equal to 3" here)

I have NO IDEA why we are announcing actual attendance instead of tickets sold like EVERY OTHER PROGRAM

For some reason even football announced turnstile instead of sold. Don't know why we'd do that when everyone else announces sold. Certainly not a level playing field when you're comparing two sets of different type numbers and making them seem equal. Many programs in many sports are having the same issues.

I think the Grizz/FEF don't want to deal with the confusion again regarding Tigers needing to average 6K butts in seats to get the $600K. In the past, Grizz/FEF announced tickets sold for the Tigers, and CA and others had to dig for the actual butts in seats attendance. Think Grizz/FEF have just decided to be transparent.

This season we have reported ACTUAL attendance in football and basketball.

The Charlotte hockey team announced they will be playing tonight in front of no fans due to 3-4 inches of snow in the area today.

As an OOTer, you get a pass on the weather. You aren't here to see how bad the streets were last night. At the same time, OOTer's bringing up attendance gets old.
