UCLA Offers Patrick Jolly
Chip Kelly/UCLA offers RB/S Patrick Jolly right after his visit to Toledo. UCLA wants him to play CB. Pretty sure he would be a WR/RB at UT.

A former Toledo RB was named NFL Rookie of the Year and led the League in Rushing.

RE: UCLA Offers Patrick Jolly
He's just now forming a relationship with the UCLA coaching staff two weeks away from signing day. They offered him last minute as a last resort...meanwhile, Toledo's coaching staff has maintained a relationship with him for a few years now. Why would he want to be someone's 2nd fiddle at UCLA?

as a football player he will probably do better at Toledo, but as a young man looking for a good education and an exciting social life UCLA is a serious draw.

You really believe that? What does LA have to offer that Toledo doesn’t? Oh, yeah.....

Also at a very steep price. And plenty of distractions.

Lots and lots of traffic, earthquakes, high cost of living, etc.

All of which are definitely the top consideration factors for an 18 year old getting ready to play college football.

Jolly is from the Tampa area. Plenty of beaches, warm weather and cheerleaders there.
