RE: FIU
Caver is THE team's go-to player late in the shot clock by design. He doesn't panic or rush, he can get his shot off even if the defense collapses on him and the misses don't seem to affect his psyche. The other players are then free to get in position for ORBs if/when he misses.

It's the kamakaze drives into the teeth of the defense early in the shot clock that I find puzzling. At the very least I would like to see him seek contact for the FTs and interior attrition, but I would prefer to see more kick-out passes to open shooters (passes to open baseline shooters would also be an option...if ODU had a decent baseline shooter).

Caver also has the green light to shoot early 3s despite his at-best average pct. I assume this is to stretch the defense to give Haynes and BJ room to find gaps to get their shots (I would like to see Green do this more consistently).

To be fair, I did see a lot of kick outs in the 2nd half. That must be something they've started working one because up until this game, it hasn't been there.

Exactly. I don't understand how some guards are able to drive and draw a foul. Seems Caver just drives into brick walls and gets stuffed or shoots that awful floater.

RE: FIU
Caver gets fouled a decent amount, nothing great by any means. Both him and BJ need to improve on seeming contact instead of avoiding it. Both are athletic so I think they focus too much on getting a clean shot off instead of drawing contact.

Elmore is kinda the poster boy for drawing contact(mostly flopping).

Not digging our shot selection in the last four or five possessions.
