CUSA Pomeroy Rankings
Our conference is killing it in Pomeroy right now. Pomeroy is NOT RPI. It’s all efficiency numbers. Offense and Defense and overall. So much of it I still don’t understand but I’ve been on it for 3 years.

Right now we’ve moved up to #12 as a conference. Last year we were #21. Year before that #20.

We’ve seen it all year with the eye test and some nice OOC wins but it’s nice to see it in a ranking like Pomeroy.

We’ve been at #13 for awhile and just recently passed the Summit League for #12.

#50 Western
#54 Middle
#74 ODU
#81 UAB
#147 La Tech
#155 Marshall
#192 UNT
#200 UTSA
#218 USM
#235 FAU
#243 UTEP
#252 FIU
#269 Charlotte
#306 Rice

Other Conferences
#14 Sun Belt
#23 Ohio Valley <——————- LOL. LOL. LOL. Murray State king of the tomato cans.

Way to go everyone. 2013 was the last year higher than this. The league was #11 that year and that’s including 31-5 Memphis squad.

RE: CUSA Pomeroy Rankings
Definitely much better this year. Last year was a complete and utter train wreck of a conference. Pomeroy is definitely one of the metrics the committee is going to be relying on this year in lieu of RPI. ESPN's BPI is another. The text won't keep tabs, so here's the link: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...w/group/11

Another is the KPI. The producer of this one was also at a meeting with NCAA that launched the use of advanced metrics.

Top 4 are wkcc (49), MT (51), ODU (85), UAB (144)

What matters most in these overall conference rankings are the teams in the lower half of the conference. Only one team below 300 is a vast improvement and makes a huge difference in terms of overall ranking.

I’m a homer but I’m convinced we’ll have zero teams below 300 within a couple weeks. Lower half has definitely made hay this year.
But our top three I think is stronger too, and we may be back to borderline multi-bid like 2,3 years ago

RE: CUSA Pomeroy Rankings
The lower half is definitely improved. My Eagles have made a big jump up from the last 3 years. 218 this year compared to around 300 the last 3 years. We only lose 1 senior and he’s not very good so I’d expect another nice jump next year. I expect to be a top 150 team next year and if we can bring in a difference maker may have an outside shot at being a top 100 team. We actually have some decent talent now but they haven’t played together much with these 2 transfers being 2 of our top 3 players. Next year most of our starters will be seniors so we should have a ton of experience.

During Stansbury’s postgame after playing ya’ll he spoke highly of Tyree Griffin I believe. Said he was a player he knew well and wanted to bring in here but the numbers didn’t work out. I’m guessing he was talking about his first year here when he needed immediate players and settled on 3 grad transfers instead of having to wait for someone. He might have been talking about one of your other players but I think that’s who he was referring to.
