Yes it is!

UConn KP #130
Baylor KP # 38
OSU KP # 62
Marquette KP # 42

One of these is not like the others.

P.S. Before anyone starts in about RPI, using current RPI in mid January is silly, it will change a LOT over the next month and a half. If you want to use RPI forecast that's another matter.

What us this obsession of shockers with Ken pom?

RPI is the gauge used by the committee and this isn't Thanksgiving anymore RPI is starting to make a lot of sense. We are more than half way through the season so all teams are connected. It's time to put away the kids toys and start playing with the adult ones.

Funny how you say WSU fans are obsessed with KenPom..

http://csnbbs.com/thread-840169.html

And if we're gonna use RPI, here's a key stat:

WSU #18 SOS 63
Cincy #26 SOS 120

It's the metric most college basketball experts use as the best comparative tool to evaluate. It isn't mutually exclusive of the RPI, but it is regarded as the most accurate tool of how "good" teams actually are - it is much, much more accurate than RPI. The RPI and KenPom doesn't like or dislike WSU, CU, Tulsa, like the universe, it is indifferent.

I saw that, but we were discussing wsu road wins, of course beating Cincy on the road would be a good win. Unfortunately you haven't done it yet and struggled with a middle pack conference team on the road. A UConn being your best road win may be a scenario you will have to deal with.

And they only use them as it’s useful. Kenpom only matters when comparing wins, but not when it shows WSU behind Cincy. RPI only counts when it shows wsu is above Cincy, but not when it shows their road wins are trash.

Let's talk after the WSU game @Houston.

Cincy scoring 15 points in a half, I don't care where, makes me just a teeny bit less concerned about the Bearkitties.

Umm, first no, considering how much I pay attention to college basketball I can say with certainty that Ken Pom is not the metric most basketball experts use. I rarely hear it mentioned and it is far behind the RPI and BPI or even SOS.

Second computers come with bias just starting with what they use as data points. I also find it difficult to believe Ken pom is any more or less accurate than the other metrics.

Hmm, you have no chance at beating Cincinnati on the road so you're probably right at looking to the Houston game. Honestly though that's probably an L. I know they're collapsing but their schedule is so good maybe you can sneak a win against Temple and it'll be higher than UConn.

Spin the numbers all you want, but I'm happy with all the bracketologies on where WSU is at. And still above Cincinnati.

Proud to be on top!

Your best win on the road is UConn who is no where near the top 50. Best road team in the NCAA bwahahahaha 03-lmfao

You got 4-6 away games at way better teams than Uconn. You probably lose 4, Cincy, Houston, SMU, Memphis

His best road team reference was to the fact that WSU currently has the longest road winning streak in the nation.

And queue the good old "this ain't the MVC ****" lol Even though that is actually for this year! Not to mention the beat road team the past few years.

This is getting laughable.

I don't think top 50 road wins mean as much as it used to. Tier 1 now is top 75 road wins. Folks need to stop focusing so much on top 50- that's a really meaningless grouping now quite frankly.

Cincy's problem is they scheduled/got scheduled 4 of the 30 worst teams in college basketball OOC. If those are just reasonable dreg games, Cincy's resume looks a whole hell of a lot different right now.

Remaining tier 1 road games-
Wichita 4
Cincy 2
(both do also have 81 SMU left)
