Pine Bluff wins again
Now 5-0 in conference. Tied for first until Jackson State's game finishes.

Half game out of first, since Jackson State won. But they are two full games ahead of 3rd place.

PB now alone in first place in the SWAC. They could end up being the only team in the state to have any success this year. Right now they look like the best shot to make it to the Dance.

I think we should play them every year. But, it was probably a good thing we didn't play them this season.

Actually, it makes sense to play both UAPB and UCA, home and home, every year. Gives us two free DI home games, plus 2 road games where travel costs are next to nothing. You would think eventually those would become "rivalry games" where attendance would be boosted by visiting fans and increased local interest. Really haven't seen that with UCA yet. Surprisingly, we didn't really see it when UAPB played here either- despite the fact that they can draw 25K to a football game at War Memorial Stadium.

With UCA getting better slowly, and with us getting worse fast, we are about to the point to where those games will be true rivalry games.

Forget Arrow Coach Lines. We could carpool the team to those games.

Lunardi always puts the team leading a low or midmajor conference, in the dance, until they are eliminated in their conference tournament.

I've stopped believing listed attendance figures. Regardless, it is great to hear that the folks in Pine Bluff are supporting the team. Love to see us play them at Stephens in front of a full house, even if half are UAPB fans.
