Poor Little Rock. Both our teams suck, so the chances of getting a decent crowd next week for a game that normally comes close to a sell out goes out the window.

After the nightmare of a 2-10 football season it is nice to at least have a basketball team who is contending for the top of the league

Today's game hurt and sucked and was awful

There's 12 teams in this league and 4 have a winning conference record.

So far, we've done well against the teams we were supposed to do well against.
Next Saturday's game will be a good gage as to what kind of team we have. Not sure we have the horses to take the Cajuns down, but a good showing would be nice.

Cajun wins have come over LR, stAte, CCU, App and ULM

We're going to find out how good they are this week.

Same for us. We're 5-1, but all 5 wins have come against teams currently in the bottom half of the league. Big game next Saturday for both teams.

Trade ya your 5-1 record for our 3-3.

The difference between us is that y'all are the more talented team, and when you start playing the top half of the conference, you have the players to complete.

Why y'all aren't playing better right now is a mystery to me.

Whereas we currently have a nice record against the bottom half of the conference; I'm not sure that we have the horses to compete with the top half. We'll learn a lot on Saturday when we face UL. Presently, I don't believe that we have the talent to beat them. But it is a "team game," so until they actually beat us, I suppose that anything is possible. Maybe "Kaspar ball" can disrupt their offensive output.

We don't.

On the positive side, we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat. Unfortunately none of our wins came convincingly enough for us to expect that we can compete with the best in the conference. I gather you understand that, just commenting.

The good news is that this team is very young, so if Kaspar can keep adding talent I think we could be very good in the next year or two.

The home team has won the game in the Southern-State series the last 11 games. I'm afraid that streak will continue this week.

If Ike has the kind of day he did at Coastal, Simonds won’t be enough of an answer for the Panthers and their diminished rebounding will give GS a chance to win.

If Ike has a day like he did at App, I don’t think Tookie and Montae will be enough to overcome Georgia State and playing a third straight road game.

Right now, getting out of Louisiana to get to UTA is a question mark.

Men are scheduled to fly out at 215, but right now every flight in and out of Lafayette has been cancelled due to ice. Women were scheduled to bus today, but I don't think it's possible to get out of the state right now. Maybe later today.

I'm sure ULM has the same issues.
