A legend no doubt. Considering he hasn't done a game in 11 years or so, we have adapted to those that followed him but none have replaced him.

His last college football game was the great 2006 Rose Bowl between Texas and USC. What a game to finish a broadcasting career on.

His and Howard Cosell's are the most recognizable voices in sports broadcasting from that era, IMO.

along with Brent Musberger, Al Michaels, and Jack Buck...who used to call Monday Night Football games on the radio.
