Fake news states that Hawaii is "the closest state" to North Korea.

North Korea to Hawaii: @ 7500 km
North Korea to Alaska: @ 5700 km

Lmao.

Lmao.

After continuously repeating the SNL lie that Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house, you would have thought they would have known this.

Hawaii is led by democrats. Wonder why liberal outrage isn't directed there?

I can just see some overpaid state employee, probably related to the governor, sucking down a triple soy latte and pushing the wrong button while posting impeach trump on the face book.

Idiots

And another thing, you wont get me off the front nine if I'm the President because some low level functionary in state government pushes the wrong damn warning button. I'll know it's real trouble before them.

Just to start: I apologize for breaking up this sticky jerk.

I haven't been in a situation where a giant mass of people thought they were gonna die, but that was some interesting panic caught on video. Saw a couple when people gave up running to start praying. I can't imagine what I would do.

RE: Hawaii emergency false alert
Just heard that the government employee who pressed the button to send the emergency alert not only had to hit that button but also would've received a pop-up saying "are you sure you want to send this" after hitting the initial send button.

Hitting a first button and then also having to hit a confirmation button before sending the emergency text sends doesn't sound like an accident to me.

I think it may have been a hack. But it has happened before due to operator error.

Well I’ll be sure to talk to my parents about it when they get back from their vacation.

They talked to some golfers on sport center at a tournament. They seemed like they were stoic about it for the most part. One of the golfers tweeted he hoped it wasn't true and hid with his family in a bath tub under a matress.

The best story I've heard so far is a guy from California who took an uber to the airport right after the alert went out in the hope he could catch a flight before the bomb hit.

The only thing I've gotten out of this is that no one has any idea what to do if a Nuke was launched. I don't think Un is stupid enough to try and actually launch a missile, but he got a good read in what would happen if he did today.

RE: Hawaii emergency false alert
Interesting to see these videos, I was traveling home from Kona today and nobody freaked out like that but then again O'ahu is probably the presumed target and there was not really any shelter to be had at the Kona airport so maybe people were just resigned.

For me it didn't seem like a real threat given the lack of sirens and TV/radio warnings. Still a little spooky but the worst that came of it was delaying flights 2 hours because for whatever reason TSA ordered everyone to leave security and be rescreened.
