The 10th ranked Broncos return to action today, in Saint Cloud after a month layoff in NCHC play. St Cloud State is currently ranked first in the NCHC and in the nation, and is undefeated at home this season. With each team having only two wins over their last six matches, both'll be looking to make a statement coming off the break. A split in Minnesota would be great for Western.

SCSU's record features a recent tie with NoDak in St. Cloud, as well as a pair of ties with #45 Princeton in New Jersey. Their most recent game was a loss to Minnesota in Minneapolis, and SCSU is looking vulnerable to their first loss at home this season at the hands of the Broncos.

Hopefully we can get a split, that would be nice, good way to start off the second half of the season.

The large sheet always makes us look bad... too much ice to play our type of defense...

Broncos will start the 2nd period w/ a 4-3 PP for about 1:30. Lots of penalties in this one. It's chippy.

Broncos were on the PK for over 4 minutes, including 1:57 of 5 on 3. Broncos kill it off. 5-3 heading to the 3rd.

St Cloud St announcers said Broncos had 5 players out of the lineup w/ injuries or mono. I know Aidan Muir is hurt. The 4 others that aren't showing up on the lineup card are Austin Rueschhoff, Ethen Frank, Brett Van Os, & Austin Cain. If the announcers know what they're talking about, I guess one of those guys has an injury and the other 3 have mono.

Need to finish strong with a great third period. SCSU is 10 - 0 - 1 at home this season. We need to win this one for at least a split.
